The House

History of the Trullo The Grounds

The house has 2 metre thick walls and so is beautifully cool in the summer months. The house has recently been refurbished to a high standard with central heating and includes the following accommodation:

Kitchen / Diner: a very large modern kitchen in one of the biggest cones with stone work tops and fridge / freezer, dishwasher, gas oven and hob. Glazed double doors open out onto a terrace with the swimming pool below.

Sitting Room: a spacious room in one of the cones with original flag stone floor and working fireplace. There is a TV, CD/DVD player and a small selection of CDs/DVDs, games and books. The front door leads out on to the main terrace with spectacular views.

Bedroom 1: leads off to the right of the sitting room in another of the cones with original flag stone floor. This is a large room with a double bed.

Bedroom 2: leads off to the left of the sitting room. This cone has been split in half to provide another room above. Again it is a spacious room with a double bed.

Bathroom: bathroom with shower and washing machine.

Bedroom 3: a room with plenty of character carved out of the original bedrock to form a trullo and includes the original animal mangers. A door leads out to a walled terrace overlooked by a large fig tree. There are twin beds in this room which can be made into a double.

Bedroom 4: is reached via the stairs in the kitchen and is the smallest bedroom with room for a single bed and cot. A door leads out on to the roof terrace with stunning views of Cisternino and Ceglie Messapica.

Play Room: in the top half of Bedroom 2's cone is a small play room with a single sofabed.

The Lamia: Located across the terrace from the main house, this room contains a double sofa-bed. There is an ensuite bathroom with shower, mini-bath and WC.
